First, similar to what we did for the treehouse ‘FloJo’, we used chains to hang two long larch scantlings in between the two robinia posts. The bedding and the larch-wood terrace planks were put on top of this. A narrow bridge with a chain-railing connects the simple wooden ladder with the platform, which is spanned by asymmetrically positioned vineyard posts that form a cube, and which gently sways in response to the wind. So when you close your eyes for a little siesta ‘on deck’, you might think that you’re out at sea…

Tree platform
This platform, a square of around 7 m², finally enabled me to use my ‘treasure’ of age-old vineyard posts made from robinia wood. I found them last year, on my way to ‘Tobias’ Squirrel Treecave’, and bought them off a local winegrower.
